How AFileFix's Delete Pages works
AFileFix lets you remove specific pages from a PDF while keeping everything else. The remaining pages stay in their original order. Your file is processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded.
The original PDF on your device isn't modified. AFileFix creates a new PDF without the pages you selected.
How do I delete pages from a PDF?
- Upload your PDF. Drop your PDF onto the upload area, or click to browse. Up to 50 MB. Password-protected PDFs aren't supported here — use Unlock PDF first.
- Select pages to delete. Three ways:
- Click thumbnails: Click any page to mark it for deletion.
- Type ranges: Type
1-5, 8, 10-12for fine control. - Presets: Odd pages, even pages, first half, or last half.
- Apply. AFileFix builds the new PDF in your browser without the selected pages.
- Download. The result downloads as
{original}_edited.pdf. Your original file on your device is untouched.
Delete Pages vs Split PDF — which should I use?
These two tools serve different workflows:
Delete Pages is for "keep most, remove some." You're looking at a 50-page document and want to remove pages 7, 18, and 32. The other 47 stay together in one PDF.
Split PDF is for "keep some, ignore the rest." You're looking at the same 50-page document and want to extract pages 7, 18, and 32 into a separate file.
Same underlying mechanics, opposite mental model. Pick the one that matches your goal.
A note on the "Delete All" preset
A PDF must contain at least one page to be valid. AFileFix's "Delete All" preset is intentionally designed not to actually delete all pages — page 1 is preserved by default. If you tried to delete every page, you'd be left with an empty file that no PDF viewer would open.
If you want to start fresh, you'd be creating a new PDF rather than deleting pages from an existing one — different workflow.
Frequently asked questions
Can I save the deleted pages separately, in case I need them later?
Not in one run. AFileFix's Delete Pages removes selected pages from the output; the removed pages aren't saved to a separate file. If you need to keep the deleted pages, use Split PDF first to extract them, then return here to remove them from the source PDF.
I deleted the wrong pages — can I undo?
Before download: yes. The Reset button returns to the original page selection. After download: your source PDF on your device is unchanged — re-upload the original and try again.
Why won't the tool let me delete all pages?
A valid PDF must contain at least one page. AFileFix preserves at least one page (page 1 by default) to prevent the empty-PDF scenario, which no viewer can open.
