When you use AI features on AFileFix, your documents go through the Claude API — not through a consumer AI product. The practical difference: the API is governed by commercial terms that prohibit using your data for model training. Anthropic retains API data for up to 30 days for safety review, then permanently deletes it. Your data is never used to train AI models.
This is meaningfully more private than uploading documents directly to Claude.ai or ChatGPT, where consumer accounts may have data used for training unless you've manually opted out.
